A protest was lodged by B HUPPATZ rider of AL TAYAR against BORDER (J Hallam (A)) being declared the winner for alleged interference just after the start. After taking evidence from the riders and connections and viewing the video Stewards dismissed the protest. Subsequent to the race it was established that AL TAYAR (B Huppatz) had shifted outwards and BORDER (J Hallam (A)) had shifted inwards resulting in SARASON’S GIRL (D Oakford (A)) being hampered. Stewards considered that the protest lodged by B HUPPATZ rider of AL TAYAR was bordering on being frivolous.
