Hill Holme
Lodge has received a timely boost for one of the top class yearlings they are offering at
next week's Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale at Morphettville. Lot 384, a bay filly which will be selling under the Fulmen Park
banner, already had a lot of things going for it before Saturday's Lightning Stakes
meeting in Melbourne.
The filly is a half sister to the dual stakes winner Make a
Scene, a winner of seven races, including one in his first preparation as a two-year-old.
She was also by one of Australia's hottest young sires Encosta de Lago.
The efforts of Encosta de Lago's filly Gold Lottey to score
a commanding win in the Group Three The Brigton Mazda Vanity was a great boost to the
filly's appeal.
Gold Lottey's win came just 40 minutes after the slashing
second by the filly's half brother Peace Ruler in the rich Inglis Premier Race over 1200
metres.
After getting back in the ruck during the race the Jim
Marconi trained gelding powered home over the final stages to get within a half head of
the promising Bede Murray trained youngster Recruiting.
Closely related to the Champagne Stakes winner Full and By
and the stakes winning and Group placed Dancefloor Doll, the filly is Super Vobis
qualified, which is sure to delight potential buyers from Victoria.
As well as Make a Scene and Peace Ruler, Makepeace is the
dam of three other winners, two of which are multiple winners.
The filly will be sold during the second select session on
Tuesday week. |
