No other stallion has made such a stunning start to their
stud career than Red Ransom did in America during the mid 90s. He was crowned the Champion
Freshman Sire of that country with his first crop.
A half brother to the former brilliant galloper Kenfair is
one of three yearlings by the hot stallion that will be offered for sale at this
months Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale. The colt is a member of his first
Australian crop.
On the Gold Coast last month all of the leading buyers were
inspecting Red Ransoms youngsters and quite a few of them went home with at least
one at the conclusion of the sale.
Lot 387, on the account of Baramul Star acting as agent for
John Singletons Strawberry Hill Stud, has to be one of the best bred yearlings in
the Adelaide catalogue.
The colt is out of the metropolitan two-year-old winning
Biscay mare Market Fair, making him a half brother to the former exceptional galloper
Kenfair. On the track Kenfair won four races at two including the Group Two Silver Slipper
Stakes at Rosehill and the Group Three Skyline Stakes, also in Sydney. During the
following season he trained on to win the Group Three Hilton on the Park Sprint at
Flemington. Also a stakes winner in Brisbane, Kenfair was as good as they get.
Market Fair was bred to be a top produced at stud. Her
brother is the mighty Marscay. A Golden Slipper winner, Marscay has made his name at stud
where his champion qualities continue to shine through in all of the big races around the
country.
Closely related to the stakes winning stars like Makara,
Top Avenger, Alacrity, The Bullfighter-The Kingfighter, In the Cards-Winning Partners and
Group One placed Sympose, theres little doubt this colt is going to be well sought
out by the leading buyers. |
