One of
Australias most popular stallions is the Breeders Cup Juvenile winner Success
Express. A sire of 25 stakes winners and many top city performers, his progeny are always
sought by the leading buyers at yearling sales throughout Australia. Rarely do you get the opportunity to purchase a yearling by the
successful stallion from a female family that has already tasted great success when
Success Express has been mixed with it.
But buyers at the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale
this month have had their dreams realised by Vinery Australias offering of a three
quarter brother to one of Success Express best gallopers.
Coogee Walk was one of New Zealands best during a
nine time winning career. The Champion New Zealand Sprinter and Miler of 1998, Coogee Walk
won the Railway Handicap and was also placed in the Telegraph Handicap in New Zealand and
The Galaxy in Sydney.
The colt, catalogued as lot number 228, is from the lightly
raced Creese mare Casual Walk, a half sister to the Goodwood Handicap winner Boardwalk
Angel and the G1 Australasian Oaks placegetter Angel Baby.
Another half sister to Casual Walk is Traipse the winning
dam of Stradbroke Handicap winner Crawl and dual stakes winner Old Man.
The bay colt is one of seven yearlings by Success Express
in Adelaides best ever yearling sale which kicks off on Monday February 18th
at the Morphettville Sales Complex. |
