Theres
certainly no time to be "lazing about" or even "out n
about" during the early stages of the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale at
Morphettville on February 18. Brooklyn Park Stud,
based in South Australias upper south east, will be offering the half sister to
Lazing About, from the lightly raced Without Fear mare Out n About as lot
five.
The bay filly, which is qualified for Super Vobis, is by
one of Victorias most exciting young sires Encosta de Lago. The sire of Delago Brom,
Chong Tong, Dragila and Gold Lottey, just to name a few, is now one of the most sought out
stallions in the region.
Lazing About must be one of South Australias toughest
gallopers. A winner of 16 races Lazing About, a gelding by Blazing Sword, is a six times
stakes winner. The quality of the galloper shines out when you consider he has not just
fluked stakes wins like some horses do, but he in some cases has returned to delived the
goods again.
A winner of the Wylie Handicap and City of Marion Stakes,
Lazing About is also a multiple winner of both the Malaysia Airlines Stakes and the
Durbridge Stakes.
Out n About, the dam of Lazing About and this
years filly, is a half sister to the stakes placed youngster Stroll Along, who won
five races and was a city winner in Sydney.
The Out n About filly is one of 13 yearlings in
the Adelaide Sale by Encosta de Lago, a Group One winner of the VicHealth Cup at
Caulfield. |
