Hello Boys was
one of the finds of last year. The daughter of Rorys Jester graduated from a city
class winner in both Adelaide and Melbourne to later getting within about two inches of a
feature Group race win over the Spring Carnival in Melbourne. On Saturday the filly was back to her best resuming with a soft win against a
good field at Moonee Valley in Melbourne.
Later this month Hello Boys little brother, a
Torrential colt, will go under the hammer as lot 54 on the first day of the Adelaide Magic
Millions Yearling Sale at Morphettville.
Torrential, is a Group One winning son of Gulch, a sire who
is now making a name for himself as a sire of sires. Among the Australasian based sons of
Gulch now at stud are Thunder Gulch and Wallenda.
Rare Moon, meanwhile comes from an illustrious family. A
Perth winner she is a daughter of the Karrakatta Plate winner Elegant Shell. That mare
(Elegant Shell) is a half sister to Group Two winner My Evita, who is the dam of Group One
star Vitalic (Caulfield Guineas G1).
By Zabaleta, Rare Moon is a three quarter sister to the
Champion Fillies Stakes (G2) winner Zabanella a three time winner at two and nine
races in total.
A November 8 foal, the bay colt is a member of the quality
packed draft of Henry Vogels Gawler Park Stud, based near Angaston. |
