Theres
hardly a hotter young broodmare in South Australia than the Summerset Park Stud based
Patronella. An unraced daughter of Mister C,
Patronella is a sister to the Group Two winning two-year-old Ginzano (Reising Slipper
Trial S).
But its not just having a multiple Group winning
sister that sets Patronella out from many of the others. Its the fact she throws top
class racehorses.
Her first runner was the filly by Geiger Counter named
Stella Artois. She won seven races including four at two. She won two stakes races during
a short career, the William Crockett Stakes and the Quezette Stakes.
Next along was the full sister Smyzters Rivalry. She
was crowned by the leading two-year-old of SA following her Group Three win in the
Smoke-Free Stakes at Morphettville during the Adelaide Cup Carnival. That win followed her
debut race success in the listed Rancher Stakes in Melbourne.
The mares only other runner to date is the son of
Strategic, Enemy Fire. The three-year-old broke his maiden status this season in emphatic
style in Brisbane displaying like his big half sisters he was a more than capable rising
talent.
Catalogued as lot number 14 she will be sold during the
first hour of the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale at Morphettville on February 18. |
