Close to the
anniversary of her greatest win, the action of the Magic Millions Adelaide Sale later this
month is going to be a long way from the thoughts of Spirit of Love. A daughter of Toy Pindarri, Spirit of Love sped around the
Morphettville track at too greater speed to check out the Magic Millions sales complex at
the point of the turn.
The race was the Group Three Swettenham Stud Stakes
a race which is rapidly being regarded as the feature sprinting race for fillies and mares
in Australia.
At the same complex on February 18, Spirit of Loves
second foal a bay colt by Bubble Gum Fellow will go under the hammer.
As well as winning the Swettenham Stud Stakes, Spirit of
Love was also a dual winner in Melbourne during a consistent career.
A mating with Bubble Gum Fellow in 1999 looked a great
match for a daughter of Toy Pindarri, who is out of a No Mercy mare.
With some of the toughest local bloodlines flooding Spirit
of Loves family the logical step was to find the bloodlines of the worlds
hottest stallion.
Serving his first book of mares in 1999 was a Group One
winning son of Sunday Silence named Bubble Gum Fellow. Strange name perhaps but his
pedigree was certainly nothing to quickly chew over.
Bubble Gum Fellow won three races at two and would train on
to win another four at distances ranging from a mile to 2000 metres.
Catalogued as lot number 100, the bay colt is Super VOBIS
qualified and is being offered by Fulmen Park, acting as agent. |
