End Sweep is
one of the Northern Hemispheres most exciting young sires. A Group One winner on the
track his efforts with his first couple of crops in the United States has made all of the
good judges in that part of the world want one of his youngsters when they are offered at
auction. After a positive sale at the Magic Millions
on the Gold Coast last month the End Sweep show rolls along to Adelaide later this month
and one of his star lots at Morphettville looks set to be the Rock Review colt from the
quality packed Rothwell Park Thoroughbreds draft.
Rock Review, a winner of the Group Three Sweet Embrace
Stakes in Sydney, has herself produced a high speed youngster in the form of Group Two
Reisling Slipper Trial winner Lets Rock Again. Another of her youngsters the colt
Slider was a winner at two in Melbourne.
Rock Review, a winner of four races is a half sister to the
Pago Pago Stakes placed So Fast, a winner of six races from 1200 metres to a mile.
The colts fourth dam is the VRC Oaks, Adrian Knox
Stakes and One Thousand Guineas winner Indian Summer. In all she won three races at two
and then trained on to win another seven as her career on the track continued. Her seven
foals are all winners. Among them is the Adelaide Cup winner Gnapur, while her Flight
Stakes placed daughter Eastern Princesss grandaughter Native Thriller is the dam of
another Adelaide Cup winner in Apache King. |
