In form jockey Scott Seamer, fresh off a Group One
distance double in New Zealand over the New Year break, has picked up the ride on the
exciting young Sydney filly Lovely Jubly for next weekend's $1 million Conrad Jupiters
Magic Millions 2YO Classic. Lovely Jubly was a
runner-up at her most recent start when she chased home one of the Gai Waterhouse trained
fancies Chuckle at Rosehill last Saturday.
At her previous start the daughter of Lion Hunter showed
blistering pase to lead throughout, thrashing the million dollar filly Sunday Joy.
Sunday Joy subsequently was sent to Brisbane on Saturday
where she beat three rivals to win the listed $100,000 Tommy Smith Slipper at Doomben.
A member of the David Throsby stable at Broadmeadow, Lovely
Jubly has had three starts for a win and a second after an unplaced effort on debut.
Seamer picked up the ride after a stunning past week in New
Zealand which has seen him win feature races on Leica Guv, Maguire and La Bella Dama.
