Hi guys! I recently purchased an ex-race horse and am spending hours trying to find out any information possible. His racing name was Awesome habit. Born 23rd Nov 1992. Father: Gay Habit, Mother: Nam's Heart. He is chestnut and his branding appears to be an upside down hoof with a one in the middle of it. He was bread at Benalla Park Stud Victoria. Any other information would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou Emily

What information in particular do you need/want? The ASB site will give you extended pedigree, Expertform will give you race record info. If you contact the stud, they will be able to tell you about the breeder.

Thanks for that! I managed to find RC Inglis at Benalla Park stud, so i have contacted them. They replied this evening but dont seem to remember my horse. He may have been sold of very quickly or something. I would just like to know where he has been. I purchased him from the Pakenham markets 3 weeks ago and am searching for his history, where he has been, anything about him! Thanks for all your help, its much appreciated! Hopefully i can find some more...

Hi Emily,
I hope this helps. It's great to see that this horse has ended up with someone who cares about his past. The trainer was Lee Hope at Kilmore. Ring white pages and they will put you through. Lee will remember him and Carol may even have a picture as they are great horse people and are very hands on with their team.

Wow! Thanks heaps for all of that! Much appreciated! I will give them a call and see how i go. Yeah i wish i knew more - its just the little things that would make it so much easier on me, it takes ages getting to know him, how he responds to different situatuions, i dont even know if he's seen jump before, been ridden out. So its all very hard... But hes worth it a gentle giant! Cant imagine the person who neglected him, and then sent him to the market. Thanks again Emily

V.Sumner Hi phone the Australian Studbook up, give the horse's name or brand as they keep records of all brands now, with Numbers so you can find the breeder also. Or e-mail me privately and I will look his pedigree up. galleon@dodo.com.au I breed Racehorses T.B's and bred a Stallion.whom I stand at Stud. You can also get on the ASB website, and whhere it says Menu look up name availability type in your Horse's name for exact match, click on the name and it should come up if he won or placed, and who owned him when racing. You know the name of the Stud so just phone them up, they should be able to help you, they would be pleased to know the Horse is alive & in a kind home, they will be very helpful.
